University Of Eastern Finland (Finland)
Stefania got her Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at Atma Jaya Catholic University, Jakarta, Indonesia, when she got interested in understanding how people have different responses to food. She continued her Master's degree in Nutrition and Health, Wageningen University, the Netherlands, specialized in Molecular Nutrition and Toxicology. During her Master's study, she got an opportunity to do an internship in the Food and Nutritional Metabolomics Group, University of Eastern Finland, where she now continues her doctoral research. She will soon defend her PhD thesis about finding potential molecular links between lifestyle factors and metabolic health using a nontargeted metabolomics approach.
Besides expanding her capacity in the metabolomics pipeline, she is eager to apply multi-omics approaches to reveal mechanisms underlying inter-individual variation in dietary responses. Her vision includes designing personalized nutrition approaches for optimized health and well-being.
